Your saved vault copy stays encrypted. On Apple devices, any temporary preview copy is protected and removed when you close it.

Some fonts, page layouts or media formats may look or play differently. Files that cannot be previewed can still remain protected in your vault.

Clear answers about privacy and recovery

Does QuietVault require an account?

No. You can create and use your vault without a QuietVault account.

Are vault files uploaded to QuietVault servers?

No. Vault files stay in encrypted local storage. App stores and operating-system services still handle their own necessary traffic.

What happens if I uninstall QuietVault?

Uninstalling or clearing app data can remove the active local vault. Create a portable encrypted backup and save it outside QuietVault first.

Can I use Face ID, Touch ID or fingerprint unlock?

Yes, on supported devices. Biometric quick unlock is free and your vault password or PIN remains the main security method.

Can QuietVault recover a forgotten PIN or password?

No. QuietVault has no account or server-held key that can recover a forgotten vault or backup password.

Is Premium a subscription?

No. QuietVault Premium Lifetime is an optional one-time in-app purchase with local store pricing.
