Terms of Use

Cross-platform terms for using QuietVault and purchasing the store-scoped Premium Lifetime product.

Effective July 21, 2026

Draft for owner and legal review. This content is not legal advice.

1. Agreement and license

These Terms govern use of QuietVault, a software product from Lunexa Labs. Subject to these Terms and the rules of the store that supplied the app, you receive a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable license to install and use QuietVault on supported devices you control.

These Terms are a cross-platform product agreement. Platform-specific store terms may also apply and control where they conflict with these Terms.

2. Your credentials, files and backups

You are responsible for choosing and protecting your PIN or password, controlling biometric access on your device, and maintaining current backups and recovery material. Lunexa Labs cannot read your encrypted vault or recover a forgotten credential.

Uninstalling, clearing app data, losing a device, forgetting credentials, losing recovery material or relying on an unverified backup can cause permanent data loss. Test recovery material before making destructive device changes.

3. Permitted and prohibited use

You may use QuietVault for lawful personal or organizational storage. You must not:

  • use the app to violate law, privacy, intellectual-property or contractual rights;
  • attempt to bypass licensing, integrity, security or access controls;
  • reverse engineer or redistribute the app except where law expressly permits it;
  • use the app to harm systems, devices or other people; or
  • misrepresent QuietVault, Lunexa Labs or store-provider services.

4. Intellectual property

QuietVault, its software, visual identity and documentation are owned by Lunexa Labs or its licensors and are protected by applicable law. You retain rights in files you place in the vault and are responsible for having authority to store and process them.

5. Premium Lifetime

The current paid product is QuietVault Premium Lifetime, a one-time in-app purchase that unlocks eligible local features. It is not a subscription and does not include a QuietVault account, hosted cloud storage or a hosted entitlement service.

Ownership is scoped to the app-store platform and account that completed the purchase. It does not transfer between different stores. Pricing, tax, payment, family-sharing eligibility, refunds and account access are managed by the applicable store.

6. Restore Purchases and refunds

Use Restore Purchases while signed in to the same store account that owns the Lifetime product. Restoration depends on the store returning verifiable ownership. Restoring features does not restore files or local vault data.

Refund requests and payment disputes must be submitted through the applicable app store, which applies its own rules and decisions. A refund, revocation or loss of verified ownership may remove Premium access.

7. Third-party and platform services

QuietVault depends on operating systems, app stores, device biometrics, file and media pickers, cameras and other platform capabilities. Those services are governed by their providers. We do not guarantee their availability, compatibility or continued behavior.

8. Availability, updates and changes

Features vary by platform, device, operating-system version and app release. We may provide updates for security, compatibility or product changes. Some updates may be required for continued use, and older versions may not remain supported.

QuietVault does not promise hosted cloud, device sync, cross-store portability or other roadmap functionality unless a future release explicitly enables and documents it.

9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, QuietVault is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of uninterrupted operation, error-free behavior, universal file compatibility or guaranteed recovery. Encryption and access controls reduce risk but do not eliminate it.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lunexa Labs is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of data, credentials, recovery material, profits or opportunities arising from use of or inability to use QuietVault. Rights that cannot lawfully be excluded remain unaffected.

10. Termination, law and contact

You may stop using QuietVault at any time. We may terminate the license for material breach of these Terms, subject to applicable law and store rules. Provisions intended to survive termination remain in effect.

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to Lunexa Labs, subject to mandatory consumer protections in your location. Contact support@quietvaultapp.com for product questions. Obtain legal review before production publication.

11. Apple-specific additional terms

For an app obtained through Apple's App Store, this agreement is between you and Lunexa Labs, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or support, except for any refund remedy required by Apple's applicable terms. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them where applicable. Your use must comply with App Store rules and applicable third-party agreements.
